Brigade Gateway is an exclusive integrated lifestyle enclave which is a self-contained urban neighbourhood. The project developed by the Brigade group houses Bangalore's breakthrough lifestyle mall "ORION". The Orion mall covers an area of 1.1 million sq ft. Foley Designs has designed the complete look and feel for the mall including the building exterior & interior concepts, mall branding & navigation, consumer touch points, designs for the atrium, flooring and railings, lighting and installations. We have implemented two of the aesthetic installations at the 90 feet high main atrium areas of in the mall.

"Saucepan" the food court at the mall hosts one of the installations. This conceptual art draws inspiration from the theme of stars and planets featuring 16 suspended installations of 5 feet to 10 feet height. Crafted in FRP and Stainless steel, these are illuminated in white, amber and blue LED lights creating diverse striking visuals when viewed from different levels. At the opposite end of the mall, you will notice the second sculptural installation. The 14 abstract forms suspended from the ceiling takes inspiration from the universe where seemingly unconnected bodies of matter are essentially in unison as it is with all things in the universe. Crafted in FRP, acrylic and stainless steel, these are illuminated with blue LED lights creating a surreal effect.

We also executed the fabrication and installation of most of the signage at the mall. This includes all basement parking signage, navigation totems, entry and exit signage, escalator standees, and the mall directories fabricated with stainless steel, Acrylic, glass, and cut graphics.

The ‘Caravan’ Flea market at the Orion mall is designed to engage with fledgling young entrepreneurs, who are constantly looking for platforms to showcase their creative expressions. Caravan, designed by Foley Designs, gives the feel of a lively market place buzzing with a plethora of interesting product to engage with consumers.

The design ethos stems from a contemporary take on vintage wrought iron work offset with a light wood texture, reminiscent of old market places with a context of today’s Shopper. This look and feel has been achieved through powder coating of metal members in antique finishes and stained pinewood. A combination of fixtures finished to the same look and feel has been engaged in each kiosk. A peacock motif laces the flea market as an angle feature giving a natural yet subtly Indian context to the space. Coloured bands of fabric create a feeling of walking under a shaded outdoor space. The flea market is planned and designed to provide surprises and a sense of discovery for shoppers looking for an impulse.

Standing tall at the Bengaluru International Airport roundabout is the Mantri Installation showing off at a height of thirty feet. The structure comprises of four leaves each symbolizing the progress, growth, development and evolution of the brand along with the city of Bangalore. The leaves surround an inner structure emerging from the centre with the Mantri logo at the top illustrating the company as the thriving leader of the future. An added feature of the installation is the green grass vertically clad on the inner unit denoting the environmentally conscious efforts of Mantri Developers.

This huge unit is prefabricated in different parts using Mild Steel, Stainless steel, Acrylic and assembled on site. To ensure higher visibility of the Mantri logo located at the very top of the installation, the signage was fabricated to an eight feet diameter size. To create a dramatic effect after dark, the lighting for the installation has been planned such that the entire facade is dynamically lit up with a wash of colours that change at regular intervals. The structure is accompanied by billboards located on the round about which were also fabricated by TLV.

Largely built around the concept of 'interaction', the installation lies in between an active sculpture and a functional communication platform. Designed with illuminated cuboids housing colour changing lights and 8 high resolution LCD screens that can be linked to  planned content, the installation principally works as a light sculpture seamlessly transitioning colour tones, based on the dynamic change of imagery on the screens.

An added feature for interaction with employees is the use of Microsoft Kinect units linked via software to camera activation, allowing random and planned images taken of employees. These images are manipulated to create visual effects on the screens displaying a coordinated visual sculpture. All in all the installation is designed to capture 'collective' and 'engaging' interaction within the workspace. The installation was designed by Foley Designs and executed by TLV.

Foley Designs along with TLV were contracted by Kempegowda Internation Airport Limited (KIAL) to design and execute thirty one service islands for the airport. The intent was to brand the various services provided by the airport across the terminal and kerbside. Also, the varied services were grouped and clustered to enhance customer delight at the airport.

The KIAL service island is designed using the geometry of a ‘softened’ Rhombus creating a distinct character to the island, yet very functional. The island is built with a sliver of orange inset into a luminescent white unit, providing a strong recall to the clubbed services, yet non-intrusive. The spaces are treated with a sense of modularity and all-round visibility keeping in mind the context of the functional requirement of the services. The service modules emanate in layout from the island architecture.

JSW collaborated with Foley designs to revamp the Jindal Vijaynagar airport installation with TLV undertaking the design execution.

Foley designs came up with a concept inspired by the flocking of birds. The design team created a fascinating formation where the birds are strategically suspended at different levels and angles, thus breathing life into the installation.  In all there are seventy birds with ten different graphic designs across the flock of birds.

The JSW brand colours of blue, silver and red are used to keep the design language synonymous with the brand. The birds are made of stainless steel with vinyl graphics application.
